Former Pool Industry Veteran Named Awarded For Accelerated Growth in 2011

Macon, GA – Over the past few years, creating a thriving business model and investing money to increase sales is almost unheard of in this economy. However, one Dallas business owner/operator, Herschel Forester, took that chance and accelerated his business tremendously over the course of 2011. Just one year ago, Forester went from being the sole owner for Forester Pool Service in Dallas to converting his existing pool service company to ASP-America’s Swimming Pool Company, the nation’s largest swimming pool maintenance and repair franchise.  Change came after Forester realized it was time for improvement after having stagnant growth for a few years. Today, ASP is proud to announce Forester the Franchisee of the Year in 2011 for his excellence in procedures and execution over the past year.

Forester, who has been a lifelong resident of Dallas, started maintaining pools as a side job during college to make some extra money while he earned his degree in marketing and management. Developing a keen understanding of the industry, Forester opened Forester Pool Service in 1992. After growing the business for nearly 20 years, he saw sales plateau. By January of 2011, the decision was made to convert Forester Pool Service into ASP of Dallas to implement further training for employees and smoother operations.  The result was a lower cost of goods, a larger network of support and ultimately growth in overall sales.

“In my 20 years in business, I felt like I created a quality business, but I truly believed the potential was there to take an even larger market share. That is where ASP helped me grow,” said Forester. “I am proud to be named Franchisee of the Year as a testament toward all of the change we have implemented over last 12 months.”

In addition to the tremendous sales growth, Forester has become one of the largest ASP locations in the country and will only continue to grow.
